Kunstsilo – From Grain to Greatness: Capturing Kristiansand’s Cultural Beacon

🖼️ New post: Golden Hour & Long Exposure at Kunstsilo, Kristiansand.

Yesterday I shared a photo and a short story on my site from an evening at Kunstsilo — Kristiansand’s beautifully transformed grain silo turned art museum.
As the sun set, the building’s bold curves and glassy reflections came alive through long exposure photography.

Inside, Kunstsilo is just as impressive — home to the world’s largest collection of Nordic modernist art, interactive exhibitions, and incredible architecture worth exploring with both eyes and lens. #kunstsilo #kristiansand #architecturephotography #goldenhourmagic #longexposure #nordicart #museumphotography #modernism #urbanlandscape #norwaybylight

🎭 New post: Long Exposure & Sunset Light at Kilden, Kristiansand.

Some nights ago I spent some time photographing Kilden Performing Arts Centre during golden hour — and the light did not disappoint.
The curved wooden facade, calm water, and glowing sky came together beautifully in long exposure frames.
It’s one of those rare places where architecture, art, and nature all meet — and every visit feels a bit different.

Håmmårsbukta – Light, History, and Stillness by the Fjord

Håmmårsbukta – Light, History, and Stillness by the Fjord

🌅 New post: Sunset & Stillness at Håmmårsbukta, Skatval.

Today I shared a photo and a short story from an evening at Håmmårsbukta — a quiet bay on the Skatval peninsula with a rich history and an incredible view over the Trondheimsfjord.

With the golden hour light fading and the water calm, I set up for some long exposure shots — and the results felt soft, peaceful, and full of quiet motion.

This spot was once part of WWII coastal defenses, but today it’s a beautiful, open space for walking, thinking, and photographing light as it shifts.

Bystranda – Soft Waves and Golden Light in the Heart of Kristiansand

🌅 New post: Long Exposure and Golden Light at Bystranda, Kristiansand.

Just shared a few images and a short story from a golden hour session at Bystranda — Kristiansand’s urban beach.
Soft waves, glowing reflections, and that peaceful contrast between modern architecture and natural shoreline made it a perfect setting for some long exposure photography.

Sometimes the most beautiful light is right at the edge of the city.

Nupen Fountain – Flow, Form, and Long Exposure in Kristiansand

💧 New post: Long Exposure at the Nupen Fountain, Kristiansand.

I recently visited Nupenparken (Otterdalsparken) in Kristiansand and spent some time photographing the stunning fountain installation by Kjell Nupen.
With a tripod and a slow shutter, the water turned into soft veils of motion — flowing beautifully over stone and steel.

It’s one of those rare public spaces where art, nature, and photography all come together.

🌊 Tangen – A Quiet Evening Over the Fjord.

Yesterday I shared some new photos and a short story on my website from an evening at Tangen in Stjørdal.
The blue hour was incredible — soft, deep colors rolling over the Trondheimsfjord — and I experimented with ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) to capture the feeling of stillness and flow. 🎨📷

For those of you who haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, here are some of the images I made.

📸 New on the blog: Steinvikholmen at Sunset

Just posted a short story and photo series from Steinvikholmen, a quiet historic site by the fjord in Skatval.
I visited during golden hour, and the old castle ruins lit up beautifully as the sun dipped behind the mountains. Calm water, warm light, and timeless textures — a perfect scene for landscape photography.

Nidelva og gamle bybro ❤️

Nidelva og gamle bybro ❤️

After sunset, during the magical blue hour, the Nidelva and the old city bridge reveal a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow that captures both the city’s storied past and its modern pulse. Deep, cool blues and soft pastel hues paint the sky like a vast canvas, while the calm river mirrors every subtle nuance. The historic bridge, with its weathered stone and graceful arches, stands as a timeless guardian, its details softly illuminated by the diffuse glow of twilight. As the city slowly awakens with scattered warm lights along the riverbanks and narrow streets, these urban sparks create a striking contrast against the cool, blue backdrop. Every long-exposure photograph taken during this enchanting moment transforms the scene into a visual poem—a seamless fusion of history and modernity, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and marvel at the harmonious dance between nature and human achievement.
